City of Legends

In the next week or so, you may note some changes in my corner of the universe, just wanted to warn y’all.

First off, I’m shutting down City of Legends Radio at Live365.  No mysterious reason, it gets enough hits and listens, and I am gratified by my listener base, but just as so many businesses are going under in these trying times, I am doing it as a budget move.  Since they raised their monthly charge by around 100% a few months back I have been leaning alternately towards and against making this move, but with the steady and solid level of people who go to the Listening Room at williamfdevault.com, I decided it was redundant and just one more thing to sap my flagging energies (don’t worry, once I get into a relationship again, my energy levels will again be worthy of a successful test of a Maglich migma generator on overload).

Secondly, it’s time I added more pieces to the aforementioned williamfdevault.com’s Reading Room.  I apologize for the time lapsed since I last expanded the selection.  I been busy…

And, to the power of three (a television or rock music rip, depending on your cultural education) I will be doing some graphic swap outs at williamfdevault.com, as design adjustments.  Don’t be surprised, it’s harmless, mostly.

So keep your eyes open, okay?  And don;t panic.  That’s my job.

No, I am not confused, I know today is July 1st.

I am just putting emphasis on that date. It’s going to be a brutal day for me. Deadlines that extend beyond the not-dead and the undead. Impossible goals.

Bring them on.

On that date, at 12 noon, EDT, a select group of people (even they do not know who they are, nor will they, in advance) will receive an email invitation to download and listen to previously unreleased tracks from Evangelist, my new CD. This will be all of the previously unreleased tracks.

They will be asked to give comments and rate them. Not that I take seriously anyone’s counsel but mine own, I just like hearing how other people perceive things (even whack jobs sometimes have epiphanies, you know).

The new protest track, Kitabu, will be linked to multiple sites that already embrace my politically conscious works.

My internet radio station at Live/365 will be getting a major overhaul. You have no idea how arduous that is.

I will also be unveiling a series of new chapters to Tales of the Amomancer on the Random Drafts and Chapters blog.

I will also be announcing the three next book projects being put out by Peacat Press (As such was the first). The Peacat site will be getting a facelift that day.

I will be unveiling my new, mighty 100+ blogroll on this site.

All of this will be accomplished between 0000 hours and 2400 hours, EDT, on July 5th.

On the 6th, I will rest. Yeah, right. Why July 5th? Well, it works with my schedule and it is, believe it or not National Workaholics Day here in the US of A.

I am not as clueless as I sometimes seem.

Okay, I have allowed myself to slack enough. Aside from my responsibilities to family, friends and business associates, I commit to you, my loyal readers (both of you) to accomplish the following this week:

• Fix the @$&**%$$ layouts on both this and the Amomancer blogs to make them more readable, and to clean up some editing mistakes in the layouts.
• Re-load the pieces available at my band’s MySpace page.
• Send certain key people their Mother’s Day gifts.
• Promote podcast in the can, record at least one new one.
• Get Evangelist out on time.
• Mail off the packages that are sitting on my desk for Janet Innes, Billy Vera, Candy, that middle school in Colorado and someone who is going to get a huge surprise because I feel like doing something awesomely wicked.
• Post daily to the blogs I still have posting privileges to.
• Cruise the Nefarious Zone.
• Finish one major literary project I am not waiting for a collaborator one.
• Make changes to my Live365 shows.
• Help someone find a job.
• Save a life.
• Rediscover joy.

I figure after I get all of this done, Wednesday I’ll have to come up with some more things to do. Bwah!
