the art of the science

Written by William F. DeVault on February 23, 2010 – 8:45 am -

I know I have been very quiet of late, both here at at Amomancer, although I do usually tweet at least least once a day over at Twitter.  It’s not like I have been silent, just on a different wavelength and busy.  Very busy.  Inhumanly busy.  But that is my nature.

The contest I held over at DeviantArt went very well, not as many entries as I would’ve liked to have seen, but some very impressive works.  I’ll post the winners later this week (the first prizes in the visual arts and literary arts have been awarded, I am just awaiting the poll results for the fav favourite category).

I have been working on some writing, some recording, some editing, and prep for my role in a performance art event on March 14 in Louisville.  More on that, also, later.

I think I have found a new muse.  We shall see (it is usually obvious, no?).  For now I am being circumspect in my public pronouncement.  We all remember last time I took things at face value…I ended up falling on it then getting an Edward Norton "American History X" boot to the back of the skull.  I am pretty durable, but one does not go out of one’s way to absorb punishment.

Stay tuned.

this weekend

Written by William F. DeVault on June 5, 2009 – 9:03 am -

Made a commitment to myself this morning, based on how much energy I seem to have (too much, actually, which can be annoying).  I promise you, dear readers, to have the most manic weekend of my online life (that’s a pretty damn high bar if you know my last 15 years online).

Watch here, on Twitter, at blip.fm, the Amomancer blog, Facebook, and everywhere else I manifest…we are going for a ride.

Strap in.  (yes, in.  No, I said in…why must you always read something dirty into everything I say?)

housecleaning weekend

Written by William F. DeVault on May 8, 2009 – 11:12 am -

I’m going to be attempting to get some online housecleaning done this weekend, while I am not Twittering, FBing, Blipping and recording.

No promises.  Where does the time go?

No, Jazz, I am not mad at you.

the Twibe of Poets

Written by William F. DeVault on April 21, 2009 – 8:32 am -

I found a site the other day, called twibes.com, which allows Twitter users to build user groups within it, little tribes (twibes) of common interests.  Having been slow on a few recent tech paradigm shifts (like my use of classic IT management speak?  hey, I been around…) I figured I better jump on it, and I established a group called, surprisingly enough, Poets

I sent out notes to a few people I know to be well networked and invited them, and encouraged them to invite others.  I’ll let you know how it goes.  So far there have been a few process and tech glitches, but overall I’m satisfied it is off to a good start.

For those of you interested in joining up, and who are already on Twitter, just go to http://www.twibes.com/Poets and follow the directions.  If you are not already using Twitter, why not?

And while you’re at it, add me to your Twitter list…my Twitter name is, not surprisingly, williamfdevault .
