TVC2009
Having seen various videos made, based on recordings of readings I have given or music/poetry fusions I have produced, I decided to make it more interesting.
I am hereby announcing The Video Contest 2009 (TVC2009) for Cityoflegends.com.
The rules are simple. You take a recording of my interpretation of one or more of my poetic works (we will provide a cheat sheet on where to find some, but if all you do is check out archive.org and my own Radio City of Legends site, you will find hundreds of pieces…add to that the content of my CDs to date and you should have plenty to choose from) and make a video.
Post that video on YouTube, then return here and leave a comment telling us where to find it and how to get in touch with you. Do this by midnight, EDT, July 20th, 2009.
By August 1 I will announce the finalists, then we will post the videos (or links to same) on my site and on August 16, 2009, the winner will be announced. And what does the winner get?
Well, let’s start by saying all finalists get a free book and some publicity.
The winner gets $250.00 USD, a complete library of all my works in print (that’s worth another hundred+ there) and a lot of publicity.
Content is up to you, style is up to you. If YouTube will allow it, we’ll accept it for consideration.
